Even if I'm not really that good at it. Heh. Let's see, what have I done lately that could count as productive?
Well, I registered for my remaining classes to fulfill the requirements for IUPUI transfer. I'm taking four classes: three normal, one online course. I go to class four days a week (and whatever the internet thing is- it's TBA for now). All the classes are morning and 2-3 hours. Only one thing really scares me- each class is only 8 weeks long (one is only 4!) instead of the full 15 and they are going to be incredibly fast-paced. My friend John estimates 60+ hours of homework a week for all the classes together. That's 30 more hours than I even work. That's a LOT of tim The classes, by the way, are English, Fund. of Public Speaking, Intermediate Algebra and Introduction to Microcomputers (read as: "How to use Microsoft Office"). Sounds like fun, eh? Yeah...
I bought my file folders and labels for printing on and managed to organize 60 folders worth of stuff into 25 hanging folders and all of that into my filing cabinet. It only took two hours, but I haven't actually filed the stuff that's piling up. My only big problem is filing my artwork; most of it is on 9x12" paper and the files are Letter sized, so it all gets bent and squished. I have to make a mental note to not draw on anything larger than letter size if it needs to be filed. I actually have a few more folders and labels to make up (which is fine since I bought 100 folders and 250 labels) and I'll be making those up tomorrow. I organized everything into folders and sub-folders so it all works out nicely if I need to add more.
I did purchase that planner I wanted at work today, but while I did spend only $13 on it, which is a great bargain, I found one that was nicer, sturdier and over-all more aesthetically appealing that was twice the price but SO worth it if I keep it in good condition. I could use it for years, since it's refillable. Basically, after spending 10 minutes of my "Meal" today picking out the cheap one, I figured out later that there is a better one and so I'll be doing an exchange at my own store. lol. At least they'll be making money and not losing any on the transaction. I didn't get a chance to exchange it today because I worked the floor and wound up spending three hours doing Returns and Recovery, not to mention helping every customer in sight find everything in the store. Fun times. At least I only work 1.5 hours tomorrow (for some reason) so I'll have plenty of time to Exchange it and get the nicer one.
If you're not part of my Team_h4x group, then you don't know about my "Working Hiatus" on my webcomic. Basically, because I'm so unorganized I can't keep any of my work for the comic together and have to keep taking long hiatuses to find what I'm looking for; on top of that, it's really hard to work on a comic when every moment you actually have free at home is spent digging through piles of unorganized papers (some of which are over six years old). So I told myself, my team and my fans that the Working Hiatus would give me time to do all the organization I need, tidy up my schedule a little and get back on track with the comic before actually starting normal updates on it. Of course, the comic is only a priority when it comes to
my sanity the free time I have to spend- obviously work and school come first, but it's still really important to me, so I'm not abandoning it.
Also, if you guys never saw my last post, with the YouTube link to the dance song about DotA, then you've got to go back and check it out. The music video isn't important, but you totally have to listen to the song (and in the post I pasted the English translation to the Swedish lyrics- read them and laugh) it rivals the awesomeness of Dragostea din tei in it's annoying way of becoming catchy after just one listen. I actually got the song on iTunes because it haunted me for so long. The band is called Basshunter and the album is called (no joke) "LOL <(^^,)>". You just can't beat that.
